Prototype of Lights Off, Locks Locked finally fit for public viewing


Hi all,

This was supposed to appear 3-and-a bit weeks ago, for Weekly Game Jam #149. Unfortunately a temporary health thing stopped that from happening then, and other things (being back at work full-time, real-world tasks, Animal Crossing) stopped me from sitting down and doing the last couple of bits.

This game's page is currently in unlisted form at the moment, so it's not showing up on itch.io's main pages (I won't advertise this unless I get round to creating what could be described as a full game). So if you can see this, congratulations! You are probably a friend / relative / colleague / bot and are reading this because you feel sorry for me.

Current plans for the full version:

  • A much bigger office to explore - many more floors and puzzles ("It took 20 hours to program; I thought it would take 20 hours to play!")
  • Difficulty settings - easy mode lets you see your progress at any time, and prompts you with any puzzles that are based on general knowledge; hard mode gives you a time limit based on the need to catch public transport
  • Weird subversive nonsense to counter-act the rather mundane setting
  • Horde mode (no, no horde mode)
  • Someone competent to look through what I've done
